POSITION SUMMARY: The ElectroMechanical Maintenance Specialist requires a multi-skilled person to perform all phases of electrical and mechanical maintenance within our organization. Multi-tasking of both mechanical and electrical skills to maintain our equipment and processes. The ideal candidate is capable of performing all tasks required to rebuild, modify or adjust our equipment and processes related to producing the best product possible. The ElectroMechanical Maintenance Specialist will follow direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and carry out the tasks assigned efficiently and completely. ElectroMechanical Maintenance Specialist will train others as required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Troubleshoot/ investigate and repair all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and utility systems including chillers, air compressors etc. Keep problems from recurring utilizing the Breakdown Analysis process.Obtain drawings, instructional manuals and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources. Makes any additional sketches, diagrams, etc., as necessary.Examines jobs to be done and determine scope and best way to accomplish the work. Consults with requester, maintenance planner, and/or Supervisor when necessary.Recommends equipment to be included in preventive maintenance programs. Perform Preventative Maintenance task to identify all potential mechanical and electrical issues with equipment throughout the plant. Rebuild worn-out, but reusable, pieces of equipment, such as gearboxes for scheduled PMs. Handle special assignments or other duties as assigned by authorized personnel.Continuously maintains proficiency in Automation and controls systems.Communicates effectively with management, engineers, mechanics, and equipment operators. Demonstrates equipment functions and features to machine operators.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:An Associates degree in a technical field.10+ years of experience working as electro mechanical specialist.Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations. Must be able to perform basic math computations to determine gear ratios etc.Ability to work closely with the other lower level mechanics in the department, guiding them to follow best practices in terms of troubleshooting & maintenance. Show initiative.Understands how to read and translate the information found within PLC code, Schematic wiring, and Ladder diagrams. Understands HMI, VFDs, Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation and industrial control systems, including advanced programming techniques and configurations.Understands and can troubleshoot Industrial Networks, including Ethernet, DeviceNET, ControlNET, and others.Possesses an understanding of calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level and composition, along with an understanding of process controls and troubleshooting.Must have the ability to learn new technologies.Must supply your own tools.Ability to work on a flexible schedule and over time.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Ability to lift and grasp safely up to 100 lbs. 1% - 5% of the time (with help)Ability to lift and grasp safely up to 50 lbs. 5% - 10% of the timeAbility to lift and grasp safely up to 25 lbs. 20% - 30% of the timeAbility to lift and grasp safely up to 15 lbs. 40% 50% of the timeAbility to squat, stoop, kneel and bend at the waist 25% - 50 % of the timeAbility to stand, walk, sit 25% - 50% of the timeFinger manipulation of small parts 25% - 50% of the timeClimb ladders and stairs 5% - 10% of the time ENVIRONMENT:The work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment. Position is subject to loud noise (hearing protection is required), very light dust, high/low temperatures and other environmental conditions as would be normal in a manufacturing environment. All Personal Protective Equipment is provided.
