Position Overview:The Boeing Space Electronics division is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineering Technician to join the team in El Segundo, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. Leads, develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying Company, industry and governmental standards for multiple customers. Manages, interprets and develops design requirements. Uses design tools to document, incorporate and maintain configuration design control. Manages, creates, develops and maintains complex systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and integrating systems elements. Supports and validates engineering system design and functionality validation activities. Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex. Coordinates activities and products with cross-functional groups, internal partners and external suppliers. Reviews and assigns work to others. • Performs Technical support for production and test of space-qualified electronics.
• Maintains, releases and assists in developing electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data, by applying Company, industry and governmental standards.
• Independently performs set up and testing of digital and power electronics hardware.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and documenting test failures.
• Provides engineering and engineering systems support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
• Supports the development and maintenance of moderately-complex product installation designs and part designs.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment while engaging with multiple development teams to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Works independently and under minimal direction.
• Demonstrates strong analytic and problem solving skills with emphasis on Power Supply and Analog Circuit Design.
• Collaborative teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work across internal and external organizations.
• Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.
• Validates designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis with emphasis on Power Supply and Analog Circuit Design.
• Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.This position requires-the ability post-start to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship-A final U.S. secret clearance Post start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Technical certificate, associate's degree or higher in electrical or electronics engineering and eight (8) years of work experience or at least (12) years or related work experience.
  • Hands-on lab experience with power/analog electronics testing or test methodology.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • Experience with digital and analog power electronics design and electrical analysis
    • Experience with building, analyzing and verifying test harnesses
    • Demonstrates strong analytic and problem solving skills with emphasis on Power Supply and Analog Circuit Design.Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+-7 years'- work experience, 12 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
