Job Description:
L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer with experience in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS). The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of the systems engineering process, possess technical knowledge of RAMS theory and analysis and will be comfortable coordinating with cross fictional team members.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a lead RAMS Systems Engineer in the development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems and shipboard systems. Responsibilities will include:

• 
  
• Perform RAMS analysis on the assigned project, product, or system
  
• Review reliability and maintainability analysis documents
  
• Provide necessary RAMS feedback to help improve project, product, or system
  
• Generate Reliability Block Diagrams, MTBF predictions, RAMS Plan and Reports
  
• Ensure correct estimations of RAMS activities
  
• Evaluation of design changes to assess impact to interfaces
  
• Perform trade studies, root cause analysis, FMEA and other technical investigations
  
• Contribute to and present during customer design reviews
  
• Perform system test activities including test planning, test conduct and test reporting
  
• Interfacing with the other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software) to insure proper coordination of project, product, and system aspects
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
  
• 4+ years of direct Systems Engineering experience
  
  Preferred:
  
  
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  
• Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software
  
• Familiarity with Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP)
  
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and cabling diagrams
  
  Special Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Security clearance are required for this position.
  
  In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is MIN $83,500 - MAX $155,500 . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
