Specialist is responsible for booking shipments for internal and
external customers, tracking and reporting shipment status, and
coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain delivery
schedule awareness and operational efficiency. This role applies
logistics expertise to execute the end-to-end workflow of FedEx
domestic and international shipments, including influencer
relations and outbound shipments. The Logistics Specialist prepares
all required commercial documentation and works directly with
carriers, internal customers, and distribution centers to ensure
accurate and timely execution. A core function of this role is to
assess and mitigate logistics risks ensuring all activities operate
in compliance with regulations and company standards. The Logistics
Specialist maintains working knowledge of import/export regulations
and documentation requirements to support daily shipping
operations. Principle Accountabilities: Processing and Monitoring
High-Volume Shipments & Required Shipping Documentation (70%) ·
Maintain expert-level knowledge of customer booking portals and
routing guides, ensuring full compliance and serving as the primary
escalation point for shipment compliance issues · Prepare, review,
and audit required shipping documentation for domestic and
international bookings, including import/export documentation
submitted to clearing agents (HAWBs, MAWBs, AES filings, manifests,
shipping instructions, hazmat declarations, bills of lading,
certificates of origin, etc.) · Execute and optimize high-volume
shipping for new product launches, independently troubleshooting
complex logistical issues and escalating as needed · Ensure
adherence to company-approved shipping requirements by developing
reference documentation and job aids for team use · Apply and
maintain in-depth working knowledge of import and export
regulations, supporting company shipping activities and proactively
mitigating compliance risk · Provide peer-level guidance and
knowledge sharing to support consistent execution of transportation
best practices · Analyze transportation routes, costs, and carrier
options, recommending scheduling and routing adjustments to support
service levels and cost control · Build and maintain strong
customer relationships by understanding brand requirements and
aligning appropriate shipping terms and service levels · Evaluate
and apply carrier rate structures to deliver cost-effective,
accurate, real-time quotes and logistics options to
cross-functional partners · Coordinate the submission, tracking,
and resolution of customer/carrier claims · Act as the logistics
subject matter expert, partnering with cross-functional teams to
support day-to-day logistics execution · Create, maintain, analyze,
and publish in-transit reports using logistics data tools and
platforms (e.g., shipping logs, interactive dashboards) · Provide
proactive and timely shipment status updates to internal and
external customers, serving as the primary point of contact for
daily logistics inquiries · Review and refine logistics processes
and services to improve transportation visibility, communication
accuracy, service performance, and cost tracking · Monitor parcel
carrier shipping reports daily to confirm customs clearance and
on-time delivery · Communicate and track cutoff dates and transit
timelines to support scheduled departures and required “deliver by”
dates Requirements: · Applicable BA/BS degree preferred. · 3 years
of progressive responsibility and experience in end-to-end Domestic
and International shipping, document generation, international
routing analysis, and development within a freight forwarding
environment. · Thorough knowledge of domestic and international
transportation options and industry standard pricing. · Strong
analytical skills: Demonstrated ability to collect, synthesize,
analyze complex data sets, and formulate actionable, strategic
recommendations regarding timeliness, cost efficiencies, and risk
management. · High proficiency in data analytics tools: strong
technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency
in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), Microsoft
Outlook, and online research/navigation. · Demonstrated experience
utilizing and optimizing both order management and warehouse
management systems.
