Attorney Established 135 Years Premier Firm Seeking Mid-Level
Litigation Associate for Housing Practice in Irvine, California
(Remote) An established firm based in Irvine with over 135 years in
practice is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3 years of
experience to join their expanding Housing team on a remote basis.
This Attorney will focus on high-impact litigation involving
housing and land use issues affecting California communities. The
ideal candidate will have experience with writs of mandate,
municipal/public entity litigation, and land use law, as well as a
demonstrated interest in housing policy and regulations. Offer:
Salary range: $127,500-$185,000 depending on experience 1850
billable requirement (includes 50 pro bono hours) Annual bonus tied
to class year (approx. $2,500-$15,000 for early years)
Discretionary merit bonuses based on performance and business
development (approx. $5,000-$50,000) 401(k) plan with 3.5-4% annual
firm contribution (historically given every year for 30 years)

periodic in-person gatherings Qualifications: Candidates must have
at least three years of litigation experience, preferably involving
writs of mandate, municipal/public entity litigation, and land use
law. They should demonstrate strong interest or background in
housing and land use law, especially in the municipal context.
Familiarity with laws such as the Housing Accountability Act,
affordable housing regulations, housing elements, builder's remedy,
and land use litigation is preferred. Candidates must have
excellent analytical and writing skills, experience drafting and
arguing dispositive motions, and strong academic credentials.
Admission to practice law in California is required.
Responsibilities: The Attorney will represent clients in litigation
matters involving housing and land use issues, including writs of
mandate and municipal/public entity disputes. They will draft and
argue dispositive motions, conduct legal research, and collaborate
with team members on complex cases. The Attorney will advise
clients on housing-related laws and regulations and contribute to
shaping legal strategies that address California's housing
challenges. Travel to court and client meetings will be required as
necessary. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to
work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a
