We are hiring a litigation associate for the firm's general liability/professional liability practice group in our downtown Los Angeles and San Diego office. What you will be doing: - Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action - Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior attorneys to provide legal advice - Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings - Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently - Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff What you need: - At least 3 years of experience successfully managing General liability cases on the defense side - Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients - Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base - Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) - Successful completion of the bar exam - Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Benefits - 100% Employer Paid Medical/Dental/Vision/Life - 401k with 3% match -Long Term Disability - firm pays 100% for employees - up to 12.5% annual bonus - Billable hour bonus after 1850 - Unlimited PTO -Wellness Benefit Reimbursement Program - up to $1,000 annual reimbursement for approved wellness expenses - Paid Holidays - Paid Parking - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
