Viejo, California, 92691! Job Title: Pediatric Critical Care Float
Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: NICU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 5
years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
Must-Have: Strong ICU skills and NICU experience. Description: This
position involves working as a Pediatric Critical Care Float Nurse.
The home unit will primarily be NICU, with responsibilities
including floating to PICU and Pediatrics. Nurses will care for
patients up to 18 years of age. Certifications in BLS, NRP, and
PALS are required. Candidates must possess solid ICU skills and
relevant NICU experience. Previous charge experience is a plus.
Nurses will be expected to work 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week
schedule. Major holiday blocks will be utilized. The daily census
will consist of various patient populations across different age
groups. Patient ratios during night shifts will be 2:1.
Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy
and respiratory services. Experience with managing complex
pediatric care is essential. Nurses will handle a range of
conditions, providing developmentally appropriate support.
Experience in float nursing is required. Candidates must have the
capacity to manage high levels of patient care with attention to
