Job Description:
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a dedicated and
empathetic Veterinarian to join our team specializing in
end-of-life care services. This role requires a profound sense of
compassion and a desire to provide comfort and relief to pets
during their final days. The ideal candidate will work directly
with pet families to ensure a dignified and peaceful experience.
Our work environment is supportive and uniquely focused on pet
hospice care and in-home euthanasia services. Candidates should be
prepared to help families navigate the process of saying goodbye to
their beloved pets, providing both medical care and emotional
support. Conduct in-home consultations and assessments for hospice
care and humane euthanasia. Administer palliative treatments to
manage pain and discomfort. Advise and support pet owners through
the hospice process, providing compassionate guidance and emotional
support. Maintain detailed medical records and communicate
effectively with our veterinary team. Uphold the standards of
veterinary care through adherence to all professional and ethical
guidelines. Strong empathy and communication skills Ability to
administer palliative care and euthanasia Experience with pain
management techniques in pets Capacity to handle emotionally
sensitive situations Proficiency in using veterinary software and
maintaining detailed medical records Licensed to practice
Veterinary Medicine in the state of employment. Certification in
animal palliative care or euthanasia is preferred but not
required.
