Job Description:
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Compassionate
Veterinarian who is devoted to providing end-of-life care in the
comfort of a pet's home. Our mission revolves around offering the
most peaceful and dignified service to pets during their final days
or moments, ensuring that both pets and their families receive the
utmost respect and empathy. This role requires a sensitive approach
to veterinary care, focusing on palliative services and euthanasia.
Candidates must have a compassionate disposition, an aptitude for
clear communication with pet owners, and a commitment to
maintaining the highest standards of ethical veterinary practice.
Provide in-home end-of-life care and euthanasia services.
Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing comfort and
explaining care options. Coordinate with veterinary technicians and
support staff to manage home visits. Maintain accurate medical
records and comply with veterinary health standards. Support
grief-stricken families by offering resources and compassionate
guidance. Strong empathy and compassion for animals and their
families Ability to communicate medical terms in an understandable
manner Adept in handling and administering euthanasia according to
AVMA guidelines Skilled in palliative care treatments and pain
management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Licensed Veterinarian in the state of practice
Certification in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care is preferred,
but not required.
