Job Description:

As Crown Poly continues to grow and innovate, we need smart, open-minded, and hardworking Entry-Level Engineers in the following area: Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will work in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate works effectively as part of a team, enjoys learning new technologies in blown film conversion, motor controls and robotics, finds gratification in problem-solving, responds quickly to changing priorities and tasks, and is comfortable with real-world, practical applications of mechanical engineering. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and design improvements to production machineries and automation equipment
Create 3D models and detailed drawings of parts and assemblies in SolidWorks
Identify inefficiencies in machinery or process and recommend changes
Work with production and maintenance department to implement machinery/process changes
Oversee plant expansion projects
Work performance will be gauged on production output of completed projects



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, Masters preferred (Please include cumulative GPA in your resume to be considered for the position)
Creative problem-solving ability in machine design is required
Ability to read and draw SolidWorks drawings with GD&T standard compliance
Self-motivated and results oriented; able to work independently
Strong work ethic and dedication for learning new skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills: M.S. Office
Electrical and programming skills are a plus
Being 100% vaccinated against COVID-19 is a requirement



Work Environment:

This position will spend approximately 85% of the time in a floor environment of a manufacturing plant. During time spent in the manufacturing plant floor, this position is subject to moderate noise levels, very light dust, high and low temperatures and other standard elements of a manufacturing environment.
