Job Description Job Description Staff Accountant This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing global company in the medical equipment industry! Responsibilities: Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare and post journal entries. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Performs account reconciliation, research and records corrections. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies. Prepares intercompany billing statements and addresses questions from staff. Documents accounting policy and procedures utilized by accounting staff and staff for reference. Recommends and implements process improvement activities to streamline accounting processes. Independently leads ad hoc special projects, as assigned, by accounting management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Minimum years of relevant work experience: 1-2 years' experience in Accounting Computer and application proficiency. Must possess advanced Excel skills for manipulating and analyzing large data sets while maintaining data integrity. Exception organizational skills and the ability to multi-task Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) High sense of urgency and professional customer-service focus Possess the ability to maintain strict confidentiality with corporate financial information Strong oral and written communication skills Pay Rate: $50-$56/hour
