Job Description:

Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a Payroll Specialist opportunity near Encino, CA. This is a temporary opportunity. As a payroll Specialist, you will assist with the preparation of multi-state semi-monthly payroll which includes auditing electronic payroll information, processing employee requests and various account reconciliations. Responsibilities for this Payroll Specialist opportunity include:

- Audit electronic timecards for accuracy

- Process employee change forms, extra pay requests, direct deposit and tax forms

- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data

- Performs various account reconciliations such as Employee Loan?s, ESPP , VPDI, FSA, 401K, Taxes and various ADP accounts

- Assist with performing various test requirements such as Workers Comp, ADP ACP testing for 401 (k) and FSA

- Prepares various reports by compiling and summarizing data such as earnings, taxes, deductions, non-taxable wages, and employee demographics

- Resolves payroll discrepancies

- Performs other various duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years Payroll experience required

- Bachelor?s degree (with emphasis in accounting/finance preferred) or equivalent work experience

- Payroll specific software experience strongly requires (ADP, Kronos, Peoplesoft, etc.)

- Detailed oriented, analytical and thorough with a strong desire to implement cost effective processes and controls

- Business writing and communication skills

- High level of professionalism

Pay for this position $16-$25/hr DOE
